I recently have been offered the most amazing opportunity to intern at Girlfriend Magazine as a Fashion Department Assistant for 4 months! While I am still not sure if magazines is the field of fashion I want to get into it , it is an amazing break into the industry and will be an amazing learning and life experience.

Just a quick outfit post, spent the day running around like a crazy woman doing a million errands in prep for my 21st birthday this friday, going away party and endless Sydney things to do!
I've also been offered 3 jobs already, an Internship and to volunteer at Sydney Fashion Week - i feel insanely blessed already!!!

I'm wearing a black dress ive had for ages, silk drape vintage cardigan from Sydney, moccasin boots from Sportsgirl [ few years old], Chloe bag from Bali.

Jewellery: wishbone necklace from Dogeared, Name necklace from Bali, turquoise ring from Diva, Red Hamsa string bracelet Greece and silver cuff from Selak in Bali.

Apologies for lack of regular bogging but I'm sure you all appreciated just how crazy things are in relocating my life to a new City so i will try post when i can,....but it wont be to often in the next month sorry!

I’m back lovelies well rested, feeling peaceful and a little more tan

Bali was amazing, even though I have been before it still amazes me every time its such a magical island. I truly recommend that you travel there if you ever can.

My closest friend’s wedding was a fairytale, filled with lots of tears [of happiness], Moet and dancing in a tropical monsoon in the rainforest in our pretty dresses.

I got to immerse myself in the gentle and spiritual Bali culture, totally relax in beautiful Ubud[ no TV/ internet/ mobile=bliss!], be invited to royal temples, hang out with pro surfers, eat gorgeous local food, get severely sunburnt [ still hurts SO bad] , enjoy the 2 for 1 happy hour cocktails and bingtangs, excite local kids with the amazement of digital camera’s, get a henna tattoo with my bestest Bali friend Chilli, shop a little [ I don’t really enjoy the main touristy areas of Kuta/Legian] and re-read ‘eat pray love’ . If you haven’t read this book you must, it will change your perspective on life for sure.

Hope you are all well ! only 2 weeks to Sydney I’m so excited to start this new chapter of my life.

Fun yes, but in reality shoots are incredibly loooooong, and there is a LOT of preparation and coordination of casting models, makeup artists, location scouting, hairdressers, pulling clothes, the theme-product, style board, shot list, briefs for each ‘scene’ etc before you even think about shooting a photo!

I'm in a fashion rut lately.

I blame the cold. You cant help but dress for comfort and practicality right?

Sometimes I think I now over analyse my style- or fashion to much.

An endless west coast summer
Literally. A week of 25-28degreees in may?! Not that im complaining. I love still going to the beach when winters only 3 weeks away :-)
All this sunshine, my exciting plans for fashion school in Sydney, finally cutting people out of my life that aren’t good. There is such a sense of freedom and achievement in my life at the moment….and everything is really good ...I cant explain it but for the first time in a long time I’m truly happy.

I think we are all so blessed to have a happy-lucky life, but we don’t stop and see or appreciate it. Dwelling on all of the bad things leaves you missing out on all of the good ...just wanted to share my reflective mood haha.

Life has been ridiculously but excitingly busy as of late!
Firstly- I have been accepted to study at the Fashion Business Institute in Sydney, which is the most amazing life changing news! Living the the bi-coastal life style, settling in a new city, studying again and being away from my family and closet friends will be difficult but I am always up for a new challenge. However due to various personal reasons [ my pop/close friends cancer battles, family issues, boy issues, friend issues…] I will not be moving to Sydney town til August after my 21st birthday. There is so so much to organise and a lot I want to tie up before I leave the west coast.

The past week:
* Lady Gaga was awesome. However I was may have consumed to much alcohol and got myself banned from the complex for 24hrs oops. drunk girls night out accomplished.
* Went on a roadtrip down south. The drama followed me there... made some bad decisions. Some European girl was so blessed I did not smack her in the face. Our tyre blew out on the way home and we crashed the car. All ok though. Car not so much.
*Saw ‘The Last Song’ I thought it was a teeny-bopper-happy-miley movie…. It was intensely depressing.

Last night I:
wore a tight fitted dress [ I never do]. Wish it would rain more. Lost my bestest fave topshop ring CRY . realized that lately I might love the idea of being in love a little more than actually being in love. Ended up in the secret laneway to erza pound in downtown northbridge. Drunk txted bad. took a taxi to the moon [ not the actual moon sillies http://www.themoon.com.au ] and had d+m with caleb there. Walked to my friends city apartment. Ate her food watched Aladdin.

today I:
woke up in a friend's bed still in full make up and dreadlocks. made my way home on the train feeling like tramp of night in harsh contrast to the working population. Washed my hair. Remembered I said I wasn’t going to smoke anymore. Planned various random road trips. will probably finish the day in some karaoke bar or @ avenue in Claremont

Just a quick post to let u know im without my internet/power
Last night I have never ever been so terrified in my life
Perth hasn’t received any rain for at least 4months
And last night we got a super massive storm.

The streets and city are now like a full on disaster zone
Roads are like rivers and trees fallen down everywhere on houses, roads and cars.
Golf ball size hailstorms smashed windows and pelted cars
Houses are flooded, roof’s collapsed and there have even been landslides
Airports, hospitals and schools are closed
Everyone is still without power

More storms are forecasted again today.

I told you in the new year I had some exciting plans to share.
And I am so incredibly excited to tell you all my fantastical news.

I have been accepted to the Fashion Business Institute [also know as FBI hahaha] Fashion College in Sydney to study Fashion Business!
Its one of the best and reputable fashion schools in the country!
This has been a dream of mine for soooo long and while I already partly work and am involved in the Perth Fashion Industry to officially study fashion is an amazingly wonderful opportunity that I cannot refuse!

However sadly for my family and friends on the west coast…it does mean that I will be relocating to one of the most amazing cities in the world ….Sydney!
This most amazing day makes up for all the shit ones recently
I fly to Sydney next month for my official interview
just wanted to share my joy, utter happiness and excitement with you all!

well I survived southbound music festival. Just. More on that later . FIRSTLY has anyone here seen the YeahYeahYeahs live before? OMFG awesome as! Karen O is a machine and has kick ass funky fashion to boot! After spending the weekend at the music festival…I realised that nothing inspires me more so than that of other girls around me that have their own unique individual style. Some gals really rocked out the amazing festival style on the weekend and I was so seriously impressed

A quick post before I head off on a mini road trip! Im going to the Southbound Music Festival tomorrow [like a modern day Woodstock!!] for 3 days of amazing music, camping, arts, love and drinking! I have been putting off packing cos every year I take my whole summer wardrobe cos I cant decide what to wear [ and I always end up wearing shorts,tanks and thongs its waaaay hot to be fashionable in a 40degree paddock in reality!] . However my festival fashion inspiration has come from miss kate bosworths Coachella music festival looks [above] this past northern summer- simple, weather appropriate yet fashionable love it! Anyway was rewatching old episodes of The Hills [its totally my guilty indulgence *blush*] and I looooved this outfit of Laurens. I really need to get me some of these leggings to! Lauren Moshi tanks are a summer staple for me…. perfect to wear to festivals. I will so be replicating this outfit tonight when I hit up the town with my fashion brat pack.
Haven’t you heard that Thursday nights are the new Saturdays?!! haha

so im back in 2010...i missed you all, but it was great to have a break!
Hope y’all had a fantastical xmas and new year…..who’s made a new years resoltion? I have some [a few have already been broken] they are to quit smoking, surround my self with positive happy people who don’t create drama in my life, to be more calm and not take on other peoples problems so much, concentrate on my own happiness and to travel again back to my beloved london town or new york [once im 21!] I think that to often we get stuck in our own routines of life and time passes so quickly before our eyes. Its so important to live your life the way you want to….I hope you fulfil your dreams, love and laugh in 2010

I had totally forgotten how much I utterly love summer it just mellows me out so much and its just when I am at my happiest.
So far this Summer been loving: tanning [ badbadbad I know!] spending my days floating in the pool or indian ocean, partying til dawn with such fun friends and sleeping all day, the smell and feel of suncreen, not washing my hair or brushing it for days so that it become sunkissed dreadlocks rather than the boho waves im after, living life in slow mode, dancing til I drop at music festivals, bright coloured nails, waking up and falling alseep to nice texts, backyard hangs and pool parties, being barefoot and makeup free, wearing like 20 cheap beaded bangles on my wrists, the sea breeze, finding vintage shopping gems, lazy afternoons re-reading old vogues, random road trips to find good surf spots, wearing short shorts everyday, laughing til you cry, spending quality time with my family, sleeping in the air con, I dont like bushfire and cyclone season so sad, drinking a LOT ,driving around town with the windows down and music blaring, sunsets over the ocean and ice tea.
Just that feeling of being young and free in the summer is my nirvana.

I'm probably not going to be posting a lot over the coming month or so cos in Australia its SUMMER which means break, and it’s the only relaxing time I get off all year. So im going to be spending my times at house parties, beach parties, pool parties, music festivals etc…… But please check back in as I will try post as I wish to, most likely on my other blog cos its much easier! This week my Pop was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer – not really the kind of news you want to get a week before xmas. Its made me realise just how precious life and family are, so please treasure that guys you don’t realise it until its to late

The past few days: tried green-jasmine ice tea, drove around the city, finally watched latest episode of true blood, didn’t brush my hair all weekend, hung out with my American friends who are back on the west coast to play baseball for the summer, rediscovered old favourite clothes at the back of my wardrobe, painted nails dark purple, chose to be barefoot over shoes and slept with the window open.

1 Mood: deliriously exhausted. I don’t have a spare day til xmas break no joke at all.

2 Best thing about this weekend: im not ashamed to say im seeing britney spears tonight!!!- bringing out my inner 10 year old …..got my final bridesmaid dress fitting. And going out clubbing to wear new dress/ shoes/bag. love it

3 Last movie I saw: uhhhhh cant remember? ..been reliving my teenage years watching reruns of The OC…. This show is so damn great! California here we coooooome oh California

4 What I’m reading: just finished re reading new moon before the film comes out. However much you try to avoid new moon mania its just utterly impossible.

5 Makeup lust: I have been shopping around for a decent oil free foundation. I am thinking that I will probably just stick with the Stila Sheer Colour Tinted Moisturiser for summer. I find foundation to be rather stifling in 40+ degree heat. Having said that, I will be popping into Mecca tomorrow to check out the NARS oil free selection…
